Why LVP is the floor we install most

How an LVP install goes
- Free walkthrough. We measure every room, check the subfloor with a straightedge, and moisture-check basements and slabs.
- Written fixed-price quote within 48 hours, with the product, square footage, prep and trim all listed.
- Tear-out. Carpet, old vinyl or laminate removed and hauled away. Furniture moved.
- Subfloor prep. Low spots filled, high spots ground or sanded, squeaks screwed down. This is the step that decides whether your floor stays flat and quiet.
- Install. Door casings undercut, planks laid to the manufacturer's specs with proper expansion gaps.
- Finish. Baseboard or quarter-round, transitions, stair nose, cleanup, and a final walkthrough before you pay.
Picking the right LVP
- Wear layer. Thicker wear layers handle dogs, chairs and rentals better. How wear layers work.
- Rigid core. Stiffer planks bridge small subfloor flaws and stay stable through heating season.
- Pad. Some planks come with a pad attached and should not get a second one. We match underlayment to the product.
- Floating or glue-down. Floating is the norm for homes. Glue-down makes sense in a few specific situations. When each one fits.
