How we do it
- Remove and label every door, drawer front and hinge.
- Degrease and clean. Kitchen grease is the number one reason cabinet paint fails.
- Scuff-sand and fill dents, gouges and open grain if you want a smooth look.
- Bonding primer so the finish grips factory surfaces.
- Two finish coats of a cabinet-grade enamel.
- Reinstall and adjust doors and hardware, or install new hardware you choose.
Good candidates
- Solid wood or MDF cabinets that are structurally sound
- Dated oak or cherry you want to lighten up
- Kitchens where the layout works but the look doesn't
Peeling thermofoil or water-damaged boxes usually aren't worth painting. We'll tell you at the walkthrough if that's the case.

Will painted cabinets chip?
Proper degreasing, sanding and a bonding primer are what keep cabinet paint from failing. We do all three on every job.
How long will my kitchen be out of service?
The boxes are usually done in a few days while doors are finished off-site or in a staged area. Your quote lists the timeline.
Can you change my hardware?
Yes. We can install new knobs and pulls you choose, including filling old holes if the spacing changes.
